I don't think I ever posted an entry for our baby shower. August 26th seems so long ago now, what with Ethan born early, and time just flying right on by. But a lot of work went into organizing the shower, and all thanks to Krishelle, for organizing and hosting the party.
One activity that we all did that day was to guess the weight, length, and time and date of Ethan's arrival. With more than 40 friends in attendance, we received some varying (and interesting) guesses. I will reveal the 3 closest (and 3 furthest) answers for each category:
WEIGHT - (Ethan's actual birth weight: 5lbs 0oz.)
First Place - Rob Rengel (6lbs 2oz.)
Second Place - Kathy Windsor (6lbs 4oz.)
Third Place (tie) - Vahid Nourani (6lbs 8oz.) and Elham Barrick (6lbs 8oz.)
Featherweights - Fariba Mostaghimi (3lbs 8oz.) - actually also ties for third place!!
Heavyweights - Mike Tamaddoni (9lbs 2oz.), June (11lbs 8oz.) ... and Chris Walker with a whopping guess of (12lbs 0oz.)!!
HEIGHT - (Ethan's actual length at birth: 18 inches)
First Place (tie) - Afsar Mostaghimi (18in.) and Elham Barrick (18in.)
Second Place - Mike Tamaddoni (18.25in.)
Third Place (tie) - Kathy Windsor (18.5in.) and Zhila Mostaghimi (18.5in.)
Shrimpies - Krishelle ("29cm" - approx. 12in.) and June (12.5in.)
Lankies - Gary Kugler (21in.) and Bijal Shah (22in.)
