This morning I picked up my mom and dad from RDU airport. Mom looks so thin and in great shape (and dad some too :-p). It was their first time seeing Ethan - their third gandchild, but FIRST grandson! Oh how they were glued to little noomie! And Ethan was asleep. When he woke, even cranky, those big slate-coloured eyeballs just brought a smile to their faces.

Kelly's mom made a wonderful spread for lunch. On the menu was curry chicken, jumbo prawn cocktail salad (one of my favourites!), Chinese greens, bread and steamed Jasmine rice. The prawn dish is really light and creamy, and sweet with fruits (apple, pear and strawberries). Kelly loves her chicken curry and enjoys it with bread.

And of course mom and dad came bearing gifts. Oh, and thank you Ame Ashraf and Amu Zia and family for the many clothes (Baby Gap) for Ethan! We must be timely to make use of them though, as they are all 0-3 months, and he may soon outgrow them. But many, many thanks! Our love to you all.

And we got baby CDs, books, and my eagerly awaited Bugaboo Frog stroller! Shar and Babak, you know we can never return all this generosity, right? But so many thanks! We LOVE the 'boo and took it out for a spin already, and Ethan just seems so relaxed and peaceful in it. And it rides so smoothly - I almost want to take it "off road" with its chubby wheels and light metal frame. But noomie would oppose this. He loves to just chill out on his new ride.

We all walked off the calories down the American Tobacco Trail, and the fall coloration on the trees were still holding up and quite vibrant.
OK, just got my cue to stop blogging and get directions as family is already getting ready for dinner tonight at Merlion. We must get "a lot done" since Kelly's dad leaves tomorrow morning, and the four grandparents are only together these few hours. More to come later.
