A Walk in the Park

Today, Ethan is one week old. Together with Gran, Mom and Dad, we took Ethan to the local park near our house. It is a warm early autumn day - 84F (29C) - but quite windy and comfortable with the breeze. We also walked around the neighborhood and in the garden. Some local neighbors stopped to say hello, and to welcome their newest neighbor. The kids were especially excited to meet Ethan.

It was a nice change from being cooped up indoors for about a week (except for when we had to leave the house for doctors appointments). It was nice for mom to get out of the house and walk around also. Kelly is doing quite well post-op and is keeping very busy (not by choice, but not that she minds I am sure) - although she'd be quick to say more sleep would be nice ;?)

Gran seems to be enjoying Ethan very much, and is quite an expert at feeding him. She has set Ethan's all-time single feeding intake of 56mls (nearly 2 FL oz) - compared to my best of 51mls. Mom is lagging in last place with 49mls - although without her we would not have the milk to feed little Ethan.

Most of his outfits are drowning on him. This is good, since it means we will not have to buy new clothes any time soon (except if we decide to by preemie clothes).

Oh yea... thanks Michelle, and Shar, for all the clothes!! We have a mountain of clothes now - surely enough to last Ethan his entire babyhood (I made up that word I think).

Of course, thank you to all the friends and relatives in Singapore too. All the Ang-Pow (red packet - aka money) will surely help. And the friends and family in Canada, Israel, New Zealand, Australia and the U.S... oh and China.. hope that covers everyone.. ooops.. and the Philippines of course.. many, many thanks.

OK so enjoy these pictures...
